Cleansers

A good, customized cleanser is important for everybody to have in order to maintain healthy, clean skin. But note, not all facial/body cleansers are created equally. Certain skin types have different needs, and a single person can have multiple skin types on different areas of the body. You may have oily skin on your face, acne prone skin on your back, and dry skin on your hands, it just depends on your skin type and your lifestyle. A great variety of products exist and the professionals and Seaside Skincare can help you choose one that is perfect for you, a product that will leave your skin looking and feeling clean and beautiful. To start, here is a list of basic feature you can look for in certain types of skin cleaners.

Gentle: Gentle cleansers are great for people with sensitive or dry skin. They tend to have less harsh chemicals and clean the skin in a simple, effective, yet soothing manner.

Moisturizing: If dry skin is more a problem for you, than many cream-based products can clean your skin while providing moisture and nourishment. These are not recommended for anybody with oily skin.

Acne treatment: Many cleansers out there offer acne fighting benefits, either through natural additives or through proven ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Ingredients that fight acne work best when used to wash the skin once in the morning and once before bed. Overuse can irritate and dry the skin, resulting in excessive oil production, which can lead to even more acne. However, many patients experience slight skin dryness when using acne fighting skin care products, so an oil-free moisturizer should be used in conjunction.

Cleansers also come in many different forms. The product can be in the form of a bar of soap, a liquid foaming soap, a gel liquid, or a thicker cream. Choosing which form is based simply of soap type and preference.
