Vitalize Peel

Improve skin tone and texture!

SkinMedica’s Vitalize Peel is one of our most popular Chemical Peels. Gentle on the skin, the Vitalize Peel is different from most traditional ``deep`` peels, and requires little recovery time. It does, however, dramatically rejuvenate the skin by improving texture and tone. The Vitalize Peel will also decrease the appearance of acne and scarring, as well as melasma.

Comprised of Resorcinol, Lactic, Salicylic, and Reinoic acids, the Vitalize Peel provides a unique mix of ingredients. Perfect for all skin tones and ethnicities, the Vitalize Peel is considered safe and extremely effective. Noticable improvement can be seen in the skin after a single treatment. When used in a series, or with other complimentary treatments, the Vitalize Peel can provide patients with dramatic results.

Key Benefits of the Vitalize Peel:

  • Smooth the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and roughness
  • Noticeable results after just one peel, compelling results after three to six peels

Questions about Chemical Peels? Check out our list of Frequently Asked Questions Below.

How do chemical peels improve the skin?

Chemical peeling is a procedure that aims to accelerate skin exfoliation by the use of chemical substances resulting in renewed, healthier looking skin and more uniform complexion.

How do I decide which particular peel is most beneficial for me?

During the initial consultation, our medical estheticians will evaluate your skin condition and recommend the appropriate peel regimen based on your needs.

How do I prepare for a peel?

Any procedures and products that may increase skin sensitivity should be avoided before your peel treatment.  Seaside will send you a list of pre-peel instructions when your appointment is booked.

How will my skin look right after my chemical peel?

Some peels can leave a yellowish tinge on the skin which is expected to last no longer than 2-3 hours. Mild to moderate redness is expected after any type of chemical peel procedure. The extent of redness varies from patient to patient.

How long until my skin starts to peel?

Patients typically begin peeling on days 3-5 with most peeling resolved by day 7.

How can I protect my skin post peel?

Since the new skin is more susceptible to sunburn, extra precautions should be taken to limit sun exposure for at least one week after the peel. It is imperative to use a broad spectrum sunscreen product with an SPF of 30 or higher.
