What are Botox & Dysport?

Botox and Dysport are an injectable neurotoxin that is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, creases, and fine lines on the face. They work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause these wrinkles, resulting in smoother-looking skin. Botox can also be used to reduce excessive sweating, migraines, overactive bladder symptoms, and even cross eyes. It is a very popular anti-aging treatment with minimal side effects and a quick recovery time.

Botox and Dysport are made from botulinum toxin, which is a naturally occurring protein. When it is injected into the muscle, it blocks nerve signals from reaching the muscle, causing it to relax and contract less often. As a result, wrinkles and creases are diminished.

Botox & Dysport are used to treat:

How do Botox and Dysport work?

Botox and Dysport are both forms of botulinum toxin type A, a powerful muscle relaxant that works by blocking nerve signals to temporarily reduce muscle activity in targeted areas. When injected into facial muscles, Botox and Dysport can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and deep creases caused by repetitive muscle movement.

Both products are typically injected into the area between the eyebrows, around the eyes, and forehead to relax the muscles that cause wrinkles when you frown, squint, or smile. Results typically appear within 3-10 days and can last up to 4 months with regular treatments.

Both Botox and Dysport use a tiny needle to inject the product directly into the targeted muscles. During the treatment, you will feel a slight prick or stinging sensation as the needle enters the skin. However, most patients report feeling little to no discomfort during the procedure. The entire treatment typically takes no more than 15 minutes, making it an easy way to achieve fast and long-lasting results with minimal downtime.

what our clients are saying

I had an amazing experience at Seaside Skin Care and now consider myself a lifetime costumer. I came to Seaside a treatment virgin, never having dyed my hair or receiving a skin treatment for that matter. I knew I wanted Botox and was referred to Seaside. The staff was warm, welcoming and informative. Maureen, my nurse for the Botox treatment, took a conservative approach with my treatment. She talked with me in length to determine what look I was going for. That being said, I couldn't be more pleased with my results, hearing "you look so refreshed" from friends and family. Thanks Maureen and the Seaside Skincare staff!!
